The WISCA Op Shop is more than a great place to find a bargain. Every item donated, every treasure discovered and every dollar spent helps fund WISCA's animal welfare work right here on Waiheke Island.
Thanks to the generosity of our community — from those who donate quality pre-loved goods to our wonderful customers and dedicated volunteers — the Op Shop provides vital income that helps us care for animals in need, support responsible pet ownership and continue our work across the island.
So when you donate, shop or volunteer with us, you're not only giving pre-loved items a second life — you're helping give Waiheke's animals a better one.
Helping keep Waiheke greener
Our Op Shop also plays an important role in helping keep Waiheke greener. By giving clothing, furniture, homewares and other useful items a second life, we help keep good-quality goods in circulation for longer and reduce the amount that ends up as waste. Buying pre-loved also means fewer new products need to be purchased and transported to the island — a small choice that, collectively, can make a real difference.
It's a wonderful example of our community looking after its own: local people donating goods they no longer need, volunteers giving their time, and customers finding affordable pre-loved treasures — all while supporting Waiheke's animals and treading a little more lightly on our environment.
